1st to 15th September 2023; Organised by the Community Development Committee, MAPS 

The 8th consecutive Swachhata Pakhwada celebration was organized by the Community Development Committee on 4 September 2023, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Science, Manipal. 

The event featured talk by CDC members to students of DPharm, BPharm, and PharmD classes on various approaches to waste management, with emphasis on the proper disposal of food containers, plastics, medical waste, and e-waste. In addition, the students were introduced to CDC’s upcoming event on Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, which will focus on the collection and proper disposal of electronic and medical waste.

The program was coordinated by Dr Prasanna Kumar and Dr Sreedharan Nair of Department of Pharmacy Practice, and was organized by Dr. Jayesh Mudgal, Coordinator Student Affairs MCOPS.
