Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences conducted Annual athletic meet ATHLOS 2022 on Thursday 21 April 2022 at MIT Athletic Grounds Manipal. The formal inauguration started at around 9:15am and chief guest was Dr. (Cdr) Anil Rana, Dean Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal. The march past began with the salute to the chief guest by all MCOPS student contingents. The inaugural programme started with welcome address by Dr. C. Mallikarjuna Rao, Principal, MCOPS and chief guest address by Dr. (Cdr) Anil Rana. Dr. Gautham Shenoy, Vice-Principal, MCOPS, Dr. Narayana Prabhu, Assistant Director of Physical Education Mr. Shridhar Handratta Director, Physical Education at Manipal Institute of Technology and Dr. Vasudev R Pai Sports advisor MCOPS, all the Heads of the Departments and faculty members of MCOPS were present during the inauguration program. The formal athletic meet opened by releasing the coloured balloons by chief guest followed by lighting of Olympic torch, oath taking and declaration of the meet open. The vote of thanks of inauguration was given by Mr. Vasudev Pai, Sports advisor. Students of MCOPS from all B Pharm, D Pharm, Pharm D, M Pharm courses and research scholars participated in different sports events with true sportsman sprit throughout the day. The valedictory programme begin at around 5:00pm with distribution of trophies, medals and certificates to the winners by Principal Dr. C. Mallikarjuna Rao and finally the overall champions were announced which was bagged by 3^rd Year B Pharm and 4th year B Pharm took away the runners up title. AHTLOS 2022 concluded with vote of thanks by student sports secretary Miss. Ishika Raj.
