Students of Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care Post graduate Residency Program of Manipal College of Nursing Manipal and Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students from Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, USA had an interactive session on 07.01.2019 at conference room of Manipal College of Nursing Manipal.
Students from Manipal presented various critical care case scenarios with special attention to history taking and physical examination. Students from Boston compared and discussed the methods of history taking and focused physical examination in their setting. The fruitful discussions led to interchange of knowledge, information and ideas for students of both the countries.
The inputs from Dr. Elissa Ladd, Associate Professor, Advanced Practice Nursing and Dr. Patricia Lussier-Duynstee, Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean, Academic affairs, School of Nursing MGH Institute of Health professions gave more clarity to the discussions. Dr. Jyothi Chakrabarty, Professor (Coordinator for NPCC program) and Mrs. Soumya Christabel, Assistant Professor, (Co-coordinator for NPCC program) Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal have concluded the sessions reiterating the best practices which could be adopted for the students of Manipal.
