Report of oration on “India’s Independence”

Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal has organized an oration on the topic “India’s Independence” on August 13, 2022, between 3.00 pm and 4.00 pm. Dr. Amrita Jash, Assistant Professor, Department of Geopolitics and International Relations (DGIR), MAHE Manipal shared her expertise on India’s Independence.

She highlighted the contribution of several freedom fighters including the names not commonly heard in Indian history by resonating their words. She alluded to India’s history and the reflection of the Indian independence movement. The vision of independent India, movements that came in after independence, switch of roles from colloquial power to the sovereign independent state for the sovereign democratic and republic state was orated by her. The facts that kept India united despite huge diversity were also mentioned. She mentioned every citizen’s responsibilities in independent India for the country’s unity and growth.

The oration was conducted at Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE Manipal, and was attended by 95 participants of MCON Manipal. This oration was part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav calendar activity for the month of August 2022 and was coordinated by Ms. Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor; Manipal College of Nursing MAHE Manipal.
