Involve, Integrate, and Inculcate – 3Is of teaching-learning method
December 14, 2024
On November 11, 2024, the Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE hosted a project-based teaching-learning activity for first-semester BSc Nursing students at the Interact lobby. The focus of the project was "Infection Control and Safety Measures in the Hospital." The students presented their findings to their peers through posters and demonstrations.
The 32 participating groups, each consisting of 4 to 5 members, were assigned different topics by their faculty advisors. Students conducted research, created posters, and prepared demonstration materials for their presentations. The activity encouraged collaboration, with faculty guiding the process. Additionally, the best three posters were selected for recognition.
This engaging activity allowed students to explore the topic deeply, enhancing their understanding and retention. They also interacted with each other's presentations, learning from their peers. Faculty members challenged the students with questions, fostering critical thinking and applying knowledge in patient care. The event aligns with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 – Quality Education.
