The Student Nurses Association of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal organised Fresher’s Day for BSc Nursing and PBBSc Nursing students who joined the course in September 2023. Ms. Bhavya Mariya Bince student of 2nd BSc Nursing welcomed the gathering followed by various entertainment programs presented by 2nd year BSc Nursing students for the Freshers. Also, the freshers have showcased their talents through song and dance. Eight participants took part in Miss and Mr. Fresher’s competition. Mr. Anil Raj Assistant Professor, Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing MCON Manipal and Mrs. Prima J J D’Souza, Assistant Professor, Department of Fundamentals of Nursing, MCON Manipal were the judges for the event. Mr Muhammed Nabeel Nazar won Mr. Fresher and Ms Elsa Mariya Noble won the Miss Fresher title. Dr. Judith A. Noronha, Dean MCON, Dr Tessy Treesa Jose, Associate Dean MCON Manipal & Dr. Shashidhara YN, Head of the Community Health Nursing department felicitated the winners. Mr Nickhil Castelino, 4th year BSc Nursing, SNA President 2023-24 delivered the vote of thanks. Students actively participated in the program and welcomed the new batch of students to the MCON family. Ms Jeeva Boban & Ms Bhavya Mariya Bince from 2nd year BSc Nursing compered the programme.
