Global Symposium Series - 8 on ‘Family-friendly Global Healthcare Policies: Redesigning workplace’ was organized by Team- Expanding Reach and Internationalization, Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal, on November 4, 2021, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Dr Suneel C Mundkur, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, KMC, Manipal, and Dr Christopher Sudhaker, Director, Quality, MAHE, Manipal, were the speakers of this virtual symposium.
Dr Suneel C Mundkur highlighted on healthy workplace, policy & redesigning the workplace to facilitate breastfeeding at an institutional level and its benefits. Dr Sunil also spoke on affordable, accessible and quality childcare.
Dr Christopher Sudhakar spoke on the family-friendly policy: paid parental leave to care for younger children, family wellbeing standards and also highlighted the family-friendly guidelines at MAHE.
Dr Anice George, Professor, Manipal College of Nursing, moderated the session. The symposium was coordinated by Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Professor, Dept. of Medical-Surgical Nursing and Team Head, Team-Expanding Reach and Internationalization, Manipal College of Nursing Manipal.
