Orientation Programme - 2021
Orientation Programme for students admitted to BSc Nursing offered by Manipal College of Nursing (MCON), Manipal for the academic year 2021-22 was held on 1st October 2021 through MS Teams web platform.
The Chief Guest of the programme, Dr Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal addressed the newly enrolled students and their parents. In his address, he congratulated both students and parents for choosing Nursing as their career. Further, he said, choosing MCON to pursue their dreams is the right choice. He guaranteed that both MAHE and MCON will endeavour to provide the utmost quality education and will make sure that students are getting world-class experience from the institute of eminence on the campus. He advised students to utilize the opportunities and facilities provided on the campus to the fullest and show dedication towards professional commitments. Dr Judith A Noronha, Dean, MCON Manipal gave a brief introduction about the college. Further, the Heads of each department introduced their departmental faculty members as well as external faculty members who support them in teaching. Dr Tessy Treesa Jose, Associate Dean, MCON, Manipal, gave an overview of MAHE's many facilities, including security, library services, Voluntary Service Organization (VSO), MARENA sports facility, and Student Support Center (SSC). Air Commodore Harindra Kumar Dhiman, Chief Warden of MAHE Hostels, introduced the students and their parents to the hostel facilities. Closing remarks for the event was given by Dr Judith A Noronha, Dean of MCON Manipal, who addressed various concerns from both students and parents.
