Orientation Programme - 2016

Fresher’s Orientation programme was organized by Manipal College of Nursing Manipal on 1st August 2016 at the Dr. TMA Pai Hall II, KMC, Manipal.

The Chief Guest of the programme, Dr Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar, Manipal Academy of Higher Education addressed the newly joined students and their parents and gave orientation about the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Dr. Anice George, Dean, MCON Manipal gave brief introduction of the institution. Orientation on the various facilities available at the Kasturba Hospital, Manipal was briefed by Mrs. Yashodha, Nursing Superintendent. The security services available in the Manipal campus were highlighted by Dr. Prabhudev B Mane, Chief Security officer, Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Dr. Sulatha V Bhandary, Deputy Director Student affairs, Manipal Academy of Higher Education oriented the students regarding the activities of the student affairs department. The students and their parents were familiarizedto the hostel facilities by Mr. Anand K M, Incharge, Chief Warden of Manipal Academy of Higher Education hostels. Dr. Shivananda Bhat K, Chief Librarian, Health Sciences Library, Manipal Academy of Higher Education introduced the fresher’s to the library facilities. Mrs. Shashiprabha Karanth, Finance Executive, Student Finance, Manipal Academy of Higher Education addressed the students and their parents and briefed about the activities of Student Finance. Mr. Shridhar H, HoD, Director of Physical Education department informed the students about various sports events conducted under the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Dr. Anup Naha, Chief Co-ordinator, Volunteer Service Organization, Manipal Academy of Higher Education spoke about the volunteer service activities. The Student Nurses Association (SNA) President, Mr. Michael oriented the students and their parents regarding the SNA activities of MCON Manipal. This was followed by the introduction of teacher guardians to the fresher’s and their parents, Dr. Anice George, Dean MCON Manipal clarified the doubts of students and their parents and gave concluding remarks.
