MSON Cultural Fest - Kalotsav 2025

The Student Nurses Association (SNA) of Manipal School of Nursing, MCON, MAHE, Manipal, organized Kalotsav on November 29, 2025. The event started at 8.30 a.m. at MIT Auditorium, Manipal.

With blessings of God, we commenced our cultural fest with great enthusiasm and hope. Ms. Savitha Talawar welcomed the gathering. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by Dr Judith A Noronha, Dean, MCON, Dr Leena Sequira, Principal, MSON, the Cultural Committee advisor, Ms. Sylvin Prapulla Mendonca, Co-advisors, Ms. Nandini, and Ms. Supriya and the student leader Ms. Prathiksha.

Dr Judith A Noronha addressed the gathering emphasizing the importance of co-curricular activity in overall academic development, which helps to build courage and confidence to show case the talent. Also, she conveyed her best wishes.

Variety of cultural competitions were conducted throughout the fest, including classical, non-classical group dance, skit, fancy dress, and fashion show. One of the highlights of the fest was Mr and Ms MSON competition. Ms.Migmar Dolma was crowned Ms. MSON, and Mr. Nishal S Karkera won the title of Mr. MSON.

The atmosphere was filled with excitement, joy, and celebration of cultural diversity. Judges, faculty and students of MSON enjoyed and encouraged their peers. The individual championship title awarded to Ms. Annette Serena, 3rd year student and the overall championship trophy was bagged by team Pioneers. At the end of the program Ms. Vanisha proposed the vote of thanks. The entire program of Kalotsav was coordinated by Cultural Committee Faculty Advisors. The event contributed towards the sustainable development goal 3- "Good Health and wellbeing.
